growing like a weed!

Chase is just growing so fast you'd think he was a weed! We did an "unofficial weigh-in" yesterday and he was 16 1/2 lbs. and he's just over 24 inches tall! He's about 3 1/2 months old now and he's just itching to move! He's trying to sit up but can't quit hold himself up yet and he's also reaching and grabbing at things (mostly me!). Some things don't change though...he still LOVES to get his diaper changed, which cracks me up as well as him! He also likes hangin' out and watching TV with daddy. Gotta love 'em!

remember dating?!

Last Wednesday night, Bruce & I were asked to speak to the youth in our ward at a fireside (last night). Now, we had just spoken in sacrament meeting two weeks ago...now they want us to speak again?! We joked about giving some really bad advice to get out of ever having to speak again! The fireside was on "dating" and I'm not sure why they asked us to speak (maybe because they figure we're young enough we might actually remember what it was like to be dating?!). I remember when I was in Young Womens and all the times we got the dating talk. I did it all wrong in my opinion, so I wasn't about to give them too many personal examples! But, just talking about dating made me remember a lot of the good ones (and bad ones) that I've had! How funny it all seems now that I look back on them! It did give me a lot of ideas for some new dates with a guy I know I'll have a good time with and not have any uncomfortable silences! Dating your husband is great...there's no anxiety and you know what you're getting!

not so little anymore

Who wouldn't want to spoil this little guy?

He's growing so fast...at about 15 lbs, he fits into and is wearing a lot of his 6-9 month clothes. He doesn't even turn 3 months for another couple days. He's definitely growing out of that infant stage and we love it. I was talking with another new Mom (she has a 5 mo. old) and she said she recommends busting out the video camera right away! She said she wished she'd caught so many of the little moments in the first few months that she can't get back now, so that's what we've done, Bruce & I have started recording just little everyday things (like how he LOVES to get his diaper changed) and it'll be fun to see how he grows and changes.
